Hello admin, I can register in this forum without any activation email or anti spam question.
To prevent spammer, I think you should use anti spam question and enabling email activation.
It's just my suggestion anyway.

the forum software already has too many spam protection
second is that post delay is there to protect spam
third forum software is light weight and SEO admin is focusing on SEO
